Religious figures such as Gautama Buddha, Mahavira, and Shankaracharya introduced new beliefs\nand ways of life between 500 BC and 700 AD. In the 17th to 19th centuries, a modern interpretation of the ancient\nwisdom from all four religions emerged, known as Neo Vedanta or Hindu modernism. This movement, starting in the\n19th century as a reinterpretation of traditional Advaita Vedanta, was championed by influential figures like Guru\nGobind Singh, Swami Vivekananda, Sri Aurobindo, and Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Neo-Vedanta emphasizes\nconnecting all Eastern faiths, advocating for kindness, and nurturing individual spiritual growth.\nThe Neo Vedanta Organization was established by like-minded individuals in the early 1960s under the name Neo\nVedanta Forum. Following the passing of its main leader, Dr. C R Shah, in 2005, the forum became less active.\nSubsequently, a forum member named Dr. Radheshyam Mishra took on the responsibility of carrying forward the\nforum's work on a broader and global scale.
